Can't Hold On Pt9

Deija turned around angrily, her cheek red from where the hand struck, but she didn't feel it much, she was much more shocked than hurt. "You got three seconds to apologize, bitch!"

She glared at Kendra, who with trembling lips and clenched teeth, had finally gotten her tears to subside. Kendra felt her heart beat pound and her hand rose again, far more quickly this time, and with much more direction. Her face reeled back from the sudden impact of Deija's fist sending her staggering back. Deija didn't mean to hit her that hard, just enough to teach her a lesson, but her emotions were running high at this point; all this tension had gotten her wired up. It had gotten all three of them into an altered state of mind. Kendra yelled and rushed Deija with a series of wild kicks and punches, although forceful, the blows were easily avoided. Deija deflected a right cross and stepped in to deliver a devastating hook to the body that sent the young girl rolling backwards, she was surprised at how light the android was and how far she was rolling when it occurred to her that Kendra was moving with intention. As she broke from her roll and ran towards the jeep to retrieve and unsheathe her katana, Deija ran behind her trying to catch up. She rolled under the first series of wide slashes and made her way to the jeep as well as she picked up her stone club swiftly. The two women charged each other and weapons clashed; steel met stone with a shower of sparks and light. Dee stared with an open mouth from several yards away, still in disbelief that this was really going down.

Kendra teetered back slightly giving Deija the opportunity to rush in with a shoulder charge to the thin girl's stomach. She then ducked low and did a backspin with the club that caught Kendra's legs and sent her head over heels skidding to floor again. Deija moved in to do more damage when a hail of light yellow energy flew down around her causing her to take evasive action. She looked back at Dee, who had fired what she hoped to be warning shots, poised nervously with ray gun pointed at them.

"You two need to stop it!" Dee managed to yell in voice that was only mildly timid.

Deija ran at full speed at her, using her stone bat to deflect the incoming gunfire. Dee winced as her assailant got closer, knowing that her marksmanship was not going to be enough to stop her at this point. Deija leaped up high, dust trailing her heels as her shadow fell over Dee's frightened face. Deija brought her club down with a thundering force of energy that split the ground and sent Dee flying onto her back. She then spun instinctively just in time to catch Kendra's incoming blade on the thickest part of her bat. The two struggled briefly, but Deija soon overpowered Kendra with only one hand on her weapon. She used her free hand to snatch the android by her shirt collar and hurled her light frame over to where Dee was getting up slowly.

A shrewd smile crept over Deija's face, "Now if you two are quite done with this excercise in futility, I have a man I would like to get back to." Kendra roared and broke out into a sprint in Deija's direction while simultaneously Dee was hurling what seemed to be small bombs of some sort. Deija was able to avoid those as she met Kendra, but the androids blows were far stronger and more intense than the last time. She was able to block, but was forced to backpeddle and couldn't find a point to counter on. It was only by skipping back for a second, that she was able to position herself into the offensive. But before she could retaliate she heard Dee yell out something behind Kendra and then the ground at her feet shone brightly and erupted with some sort of bizarre energy.

Dee smiled as she held aloft some of the "bombs" she was throwing. These were in fact not bombs at all, but some energy disrupting modules that she had developed after the brief fight she had with Kid Kamikaze back in the indigo tower. There was no guarantee they would prove effective on Deija seeing as her level of energy manipulation was far less, but she was pleasantly surprised that the attack had worked so well. She wasted no time getting over to Kendra's side, "OK talk me through this" Dee asked shifting Kendra's shirt slightly and exposing her back.
"Kendra couldn't help but blush "OK the first panel is located under the shoulder blade-" She then detailed quickly how to disable the inhibitors that made her strength human, and Dee's technological prowess made short work of the process.
Deija stumbled up, using her bat for support. Her body was feeling worse than ever, but she regained her focus quickly and cursed herself for having being caught so off guard. As her vision cleared she quickly made her way over to Dee who was standing above a collapsed Kendra. "Look" Deija said, grabbing Dee harshly, "I don't have any more time to waste, we need to-" She was cut off by Kendra's hand on her shoulder again. This time, however, Deija was unable to shrug it off, as the androids fingers pressed down firmly on the soft flesh. Deija winced in pain.
"I'm only going to say this one more time, you need to calm your ass down!" as Kendra finished speaking she flung Deija a great distance to accentuate her point. She skidded to a quick stop and scrambled to her feet, this time as equally hurt as she was shocked. Something had changed.
Kendra's eyes glowed slightly and her face was rigid and stern, muscles more clearly defined now, and an unearthly energy emitted from her that Deija picked up on immediately. She readied her stone club again, this time with a more focused look. "This time it's serious" she thought.
